What is the PPAAO-Benin?

The WAAPP-Benin is the Project that aims at Agricultural Productivity in West Africa. It is the Beninese version of the West African Agricultural Productivity Programme, which is a subregional programme developed by ECOWAS.   • At least 8 new maize varieties (created or adapted) that meet user needs are available;
  • 100% of the technologies generated induce an increase in maize yield of at least 15% compared to the best reference technologies;
  • At least 125,000 ha are covered by the improved technologies disseminated as part of the project;
  • At least 350,000 producers have adopted the improved distributed technologies made available to them under the project.
